D&AD Student Awards 2011. Palliative Gallery.
+ More
Brief.
Create a brand for a major new touring art gallery that will tour hospitals throughout the UK.
Concept.
Palliative Gallery is the UK's newest and largest touring
art gallery. Every month Palliative Gallery moves to a different hospital throughout Britain, showcasing the
UK's most famous and exciting contemporary artists.
Palliative care is any form of medical care or treatment that concentrates on giving patients a better quality of life, rather than providing a cure. This ties neatly into the concept of taking an art gallery into a hospital. The gallery will not cure the patients but it is hoped it will take their mind off being in the hospital.
